Do you have missing or badly damaged teeth? Crowns and bridges can be used to restore function and beauty to your smile.  At your consultation, Dr. Donia will do a complete evaluation of your situation and determine how to create the most natural, lifelike, and attractive smile that can be achieved. Dr. Donia and his staff are sensitive to their patients' issues with their teeth and do everything possible to make you comfortable and happy along every step of the process.  Embarrassment about your smile could be a thing of the past with a few minor procedures.

What are they?

Crowns are dental restorations that are used to replace single teeth that are badly weakened or broken down. Bridges can be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth and/or help prevent natural surrounding teeth from shifting. In addition, bridges can be used to restore your smile with a more permanent solution than removable partials or full dentures.

Crown and bridges can come in a variety of materials, from porcelain fused over metal, zirconia, or porcelain-only. Dr. Donia strives to maintain current on the most successful and aesthetic materials for his patients. With the proper selection, your new smile can be restored to look and feel as natural as your own teeth. Having the ability to smile and chew again with confidence is a great self-esteem booster and is good for your well-being.

What happens if I need a crown or bridge?

If Dr. Donia determines that you are a candidate for crown or bridgework, you will generally need two appointments -one appointment for shaping your teeth and fabricating temporaries.  After your teeth have been shaped to make room for the restorations, your impression is sent to the lab. There, the technician will follow Dr. Donia's notes regarding the shape, the color, and any other additional details that were discussed between yourself and the dentist. After fabrication is complete, Dr. Donia will have you come back in to remove the temporary and fit your crowns. At your second appointment, any adjustments necessary will take place to assure you are happy with how everything looks and feels before cementation.

Custom color match and finishing - perfect results

In cases with a difficult color or teeth that may need a bit more adjustment. Dr. Donia has technicians working in-office with his team to offer the best results possible. Custom color-matching can be achieved, and in-office finishing services can often approach the exact shape and color of adjacent natural teeth. Custom finishing services can put your mind at ease, knowing that you have very skilled artists to slightly modify and adjust your restorations to match, or even improve, the appearance of your new smile.
